About Us

Our Work

The Sissonville Lions Club supports many efforts in our community. We provide scholarships, contribute to fundraisers, and volunteer our time. Additionally, we help connect people with eyeglasses and hearing aids. If you've seen any of our Lions Club drop-off boxes scattered around the Kanawha Valley, those are for our Lions Recycle for Sight Program. Using those boxes, we collect eyeglasses and deliver them to regional Lions Eyeglass Recycling Centers. At those centers, volunteers clean, sort by prescription strength and package the glasses.  The recycled glasses are distributed to people in need in developing countries where they will have the greatest impact. As for those eyeglasses distributed to those in need in the Sissonville community, all are new.

Do you, or someone you know, need assistance with eyeglasses or hearing aids?
